Those tourism businesses are cinemas, restaurants, cafes, bars, accommodation service providers, bowling, billiards, sledding, golf, conference halls, waterparks, children's playground areas, and water tourism.

Tourism Industry Division Head, Dedi Sumardi said eight percent of tourism businesses that have not installed QR Codes are mostly in shopping centers or malls.

He went on to say that the tenants and outlets admitted that they did not need to install it, as it was already available at the mall entrance.

"We then immediately called them to make a circular to install the QR Code," he expressed, Monday (2/21).

He revealed it was a must. Besides the screening, it was also monitoring the implementation of health protocols in terms of limiting the number of visitors and operating hours to comply with regulations.

Thus far, he has coordinated with tourism associations to disseminate this rule to tourism businesses under their auspices.

"We have communicated with the association to propose the QR Code considering this is a must," he asserted.

Supervision Division Head, Iffan added the level of compliance of tourism businesses in using the QR Code is relatively increasing. Based on records, there are currently no tourism businesses that have been fined until they are stopped operating, because of not installing the QR Code.

"For types of tourism businesses, such as cinemas and children's playground areas, they already have their QR Code," he stated.
